Description

Sketched this all out on a Saturday morning in 2-3 hours. That's pretty damn quick for me when designing a bot, though I suppose that's because he's car/hover car or whatever and I'm not shredding my brain making it that much of a unique vehicle mode and what not. Of course, that was just the sketch which I did about a year ago, since then I had been doing the line art of him on and off since then and finally got around to finishing the line work. probably would've posted it immediately after that but NOOOOOOO :iconlyricabelachium: insisted I slap his colors on.

"He has this stuck-up idea in his processor that just because I didn't finish my training that I can't take care of myself...all of you do actually" she pouted slightly. "I'm not saying I could take that army out there myself but I'm competent enough to at least participate in the fight!"

"Your participation didn't require being in the frontlines." Optimus responded cooly, not taking offense to her tone and agitation.

Ashbringer sunk in her chair, visibly not convinced. "See? You do it as well." she looked away with an expression that was either hurt or anger. It was hard to tell since she kept both so many times.

"Because the last time I allowed someone who didn't complete their training to act as you did, they ended up being tortured and killed by the Decepticons...For Jazz, he had a similar experiance ...only worse..."

This is a character that was born through my rping with ~LyricaBelachium . Arcus was a young soldier in training under the Special Ops division back before Jazz was Chief of Special ops and third in command. One who was brave and eager to get in and do his part like so many others. His ability to bend and manipulate metal plus his time stealing energon from Con factories for himself and others as a stray put him on level with the other special ops agents.

Though he had only just recently joined the Autobot faction and met his superior, the young mech quickly looked up to Jazz and was willing to go above and beyond for him. During a time where various other special ops agents were deployed, Jazz and a team of available agents were going off on critical mission, only to find that a second mission assessed to be far less dangerous but no less important had needed to be done in order to achieve success. Jumping at this opportunity, Arcus argued with Jazz to let him and other fellow trainees to handle it instead of dividing his much needed agents.

" I haven't gotten qualified to work out on the field yet, I'm not stupid. I haven't learned everything needed to be an agent. You know that I learned other things, though. All of us have. And we know we're not invincible. We know what we can handle and what we can't. If anyone taught us to be smart about that, it was you."

That was what Jazz was told before he was finally convinced. The future third in command then sent the group off on their own mission, where the recruits would be overwhelmed and captured by the newly arriving decepticons shortly after their successful sabotage, Soundwave leading them. They would later be left at the mercy of their captors, those being killed early having been the fortunate ones.

The rest would be inducted as test subjects for Acrolimit , Arcus among them. He would be the only one that survived the madmech's experiments, his mind warped and in shambles from the tampering to his body and mind. In his broken state, he would become as a pet to the one who warped him, serving Acrolimit as a sort of bodyguard. He would earn the name The Deranged Arc, a volatile power unused by the decepticons, for while his power over metal was at it's peak, the mind within became too unstable, too broken and too unpredictable.
